Matrix type Breakdown Structures

Discover the easy way to browse through your project-portfolio.

Navigate through the work breakdown structure (WBS) and the hierarchy of the organisation (OBS)

StakePoint uses a matrix selector to browse the project portfolio. This feature allows you to make sub-selections both within the work breakdown structure of the portfolio as well as within organization hierarchy.

Using this unique feature, sub-selected tasks of different projects can be shown in the same view without clutter.

Elaborating precise relations in between projects and managing the workload of resources over their assignments is easier and visible.

The matrix selector is consistent throughout StakePoint and notably allows for making progress and workload curves for whatever combination of tasks and resources.

Critical Path Analysis

Improve your performance, chase time losses and apply Lean Management and SIX-SIGMA methodology.

Continuous Critical Path Analysis

In StakePoint milestones and manually planned tasks are to be respected and prevail over auto-scheduled tasks that are capable to level the workload.

More with less

In accordance with the project milestones, StakePoint will use the relations within the Gantt chart to calculate and show the early and late start and finish dates for each auto-scheduled task throughout the network process.

This also means that the end user is relieved from the cumbersome task of entering all these additional early and late date constrains for each task. In StakePoint things are kept simple, team members should meet deadlines, therefore a task has a start date a finish date and different kind of relations within the network period.

Earned Value Management

How to measure project performance in objective and simple manners.

Why is Earned Value Management so important?

In a complex world, the progress of projects is not always in direct relation with the amount of money spent.

This is especially true, if the project remains with inherent risks or evolves in areas where the involved organization has little experience.

What does Earned Value Management do:

EVM combines the measurements of the project management triangle: Scope, Schedule, and Costs.

Integrated solution:

By providing an integrated solution StakePoint can produce accurate inside forecasts of project performance problems. Not only allows this to get early stage inside view of project derivation, it also allows you to avoid escalation of issues and potential disputes.

Maintained on regular intervals, the progression registered for each task produces the earned value created while the project realises.

Travail planifié (heures × taux horaires) × progression (%) = Valeur Acquise

To define the performance of a project, we also need to integrate the hours actually spent on the different tasks. This can be entered manually, through the importation of an excel file, or through an integration over a database or a web-service.
